AA Passenger Dragged Off Plane after Staff Refuse Him an Alcoholic Drink Pre-Flight
Sometimes, we just need a drink. That's how this American Airlines first-class passenger felt as soon as he boarded his flight. Unfortunately, his request for a cocktail was denied by flight staff, and his resulting tantrum resulted in his removal from the plane.
After arguing with security while in his seat, officers grabbed the man's phone, and dragged him off the plane before putting him in handcuffs. American Airlines' first-class policy does allow the serving of drinks before takeoff, and it is unclear why his request was denied. The officers also seem to use excessive force for the man's initial calmer demeanor.
It would be helpful to see the man's argument with flight attendants that prompted his removal from the plane for context, but even a five-minute extended version of the clip posted to Reddit only starts with security officers already on the scene. Still, as one Reddit commenter puts it, "Whether it takes 30 seconds or 5 minutes, and whether you want to or not, the result is always the same - you WILL be getting off the plane."
